About

Struggling to shape a draft? Buried under a mound of information that needs order, focus, punch?

Let me help.

I’m Wendy Lyons Sunshine, freelance writer, editor, and collaborator. My toolbox includes a BA in English, phi beta kappa, an MA in professional and technical communication, and more than 20 years of print and online publication experience. I love interviewing experts, digging through research studies, organizing long documents, managing content, and weaving coherent text from a tangle of material.

Founded on facts. Stories that make a difference.

My favorite assignments help make the world a healthier, safer, more sustainable  place.

I’m just wrapping up a white paper for a medical device company and revising the manuscript for a how-to book that will be commercially  published next year. I’ve written grants for innovative digital security projects and secured over $4 million in awards. Once, while reporting on river pollution, I uncovered tax fraud, which led to restitution to the county and my first journalism award. Another time, sources asked me to help them write a book. That turned into an award-winning bestseller, translated into multiple languages, which continues to top multiple Amazon.com categories.

When you need a skilled freelance writer or editorial partner… when words and meaning matter… for stories that make a difference, contact me and let’s discuss your project.
